Setlist, kis beszámolóval:

Goliath - relaxed version, more album-like; no jamming; I missed Adrian; nevertheless great (successor of Drunkship & Cygnus)
Cotopaxi - very powerful, for me it has a certain relationship to Wax, so it was good to hear this during the first part of the show
Roulette Dares - I found it weird when they dropped that song last summer, I'm glad it returned; it sounded similar to the versions they played in Feb/March 2008; brilliant return scream by Cedric and a very calm ending, which evolved to Viscera; though again I missed Adrian's flute tonight
Viscera Eyes - also brilliant (even without the sax ) and Omar's solo sounded different and good; Thomas did get a lot of cheering in-between for his crazy performance
Halo Of Nembutals - with Omar singing backing vocals; pretty similar to the album version
Cygnus....Fucking Cygnus! - besides Roulette the song I'd put on every TMV setlist, IMO it incarnates 'The Mars Volta - live', energetic, chaotic, repetitive, vulnerable...; there were some new lines in the vocals ("I saw the blood on the floor"); they started with the ... jingle [someone please fill in the correct term, I love their music, but I keep forgetting about the complex track denomination], Omar's solo was very relaxed at the beginning and built up and up; then they all chilled again and Cedric did some improvisation (I remember hearing "footsteps", but did not recognize the song) which evolved into Sarcophagi lyrics; the break before he screams "who do you trust" was so long, the audience started clapping; during the last jam he used the 'Strychnine' lyrics again; epic & 24 min long!
Desperate Graves - my favorite Octahedron song live, been played so well, again Omar was singing backing vocals, Cedric sang the chorus (or rather the first 2 lines?) in a deeper voice than on the album, but it fits very good with Omar's vocals
Ilyena - that was another highlight, so groovy, everyone around me was dancing
Teflon - good performance, pretty similar to the album version, I remember Cedric gesturing a lot, like stacking up tires
Drunkship - IMO the weakest point of the show, not that it was bad though, it was just Drunkship - nothing more
Luciforms - I'm not sure why, but I like this song live much more than the studio version; love the jazzy part at the end, Cedric repeated the first half of it and then went on to do a Smiths' cover (though I'm not really sure about this); the ending was powerful, Ikey had a good time
The Widow - oh well, not bad, not brilliant either
Wax Simulacra - a good song to end the show (like Aberinkula last summer), though it's a bad feeling to hear it for the first seconds, cuz you then know it'll be over soon; but it's so energetic and Thomas is just pulling it off
